Potions

Potions can be used by any character class regardless of level; most potions can be purchased as well as found as loot. Blank potions, ready to be imbued, can be found or purchased at the holy store in Haven.

Quest and Experience potions are special potions that can only be acquired by succeeding on a quest or by achieving something in an event. These are very powerful potions; a L1 Quest potion grants a +7 bonus in melee combat and a +3 bonus to all spells and prayers. L2 Quest potions give twice this. L1 Experience potions increase the experience one gains in combat by 40%, with the bonus being turned into training points automatically. L2 Experience potions work the same, but grant a 100% XP bonus.

Characters with levels in one of the spells or prayers listed above can create potions. In order to do so, you must have a blank potion at the level desired (these can be found or purchased at the magic or holy stores in Haven; place the potion in the right hand and use the IMBUE command, along with the spell or prayer to be imbued, optionally followed by the caster level (if no caster level is entered, it defaults to the character's normal caster level). The character suffers Mana or Karma loss as if casting the spell or reciting the prayer normally, but is otherwise not affected. Potions created in this way function exactly the same as similar potions found otherwise in the land.

Potions By Visual Appearance

Many potions other then Hero potions may be purchased from a merchant somewhere in the realm. If a location and a name are given after the potion, that is the location and NPC from which it may be purchased.

Hero Potions

These potions temporarily increase one stat up to +10, depending on the level of the potion. Only two Hero Potions may be in effect at the same time. You can have 2 Hero potions on at one time but only one can be cast on yourself both can be drank if you have 2 hero potions on already can only drink/cast higher.

These potions are not available at any merchant, however they may be traded for other types of Hero Potions at Uswick.

Effect Schedules

A potion's effect typically depends on the potion's level and the drinker's character level. If the potion's level is too low, it will fail to have any effect.
Group time increase levels (potions at lower levels run out faster): 59, 65, 71, 77, 83, 89, 95, 101, 107, 113, 119, 125, 131, 137, 143, 149, etc.

"Level Difference" the difference between the imbiber's level and the potion's level. A negative number means the character's level is higher, while positive numbers means the potion's level is higher.
